At The Traditional Company the team have recently been back in Peterborough for the next instalment of Deer Fence installation.
We’ve been working at this site since December 2021 and have installed over 500m of deer and estate fencing across three phases.
The most recent phase was a little different as we were tasked with refurbishing a pair of their Manor Farm gates. These were removed from site and taken away to be shot blasted. Our own team at our Fabrication Unit in Leicestershire carried out the necessary repair work on the scrolls before the gate was freshly painted and re-installed back on site. Alongside this we produced some bespoke deer fence with fans that we installed either side of the pillars that the gate was attached to.
The client requested that we added fencing to either side of the pillar finishing off each end with a nice slope to the ground. Martin came up with the below sketch..
and after the site meeting this progressed into the final approved drawing..
The installation team took the bespoke fence and once the gate was re-attached installed the deer fence. It was attached to the currant stone pillars and dug into the ground. Creating the perfect entrance it now beautifully matches the rest of the Deer Fence.
