Our core business specialises in the fabrication and installation of Traditional Estate Fencing, legacy steel edging and garden ironwork and we are also able to offer a full range of standard and customised steel fabrication services on a supply only basis. Heritage garden ironwork and entrance gates can be made to classic, timeless designs or you your unique specification. Our Traditional Garden Ironwork falls under three main categories; Sculptural such as obelisks, archways and monoliths Structural pieces for example rose arches, pergolas, steel bridges, step ways and raised beds, tree guards and Decorative – contemporary and traditional planters, tubs, orange tree boxes and troughs.

Our skilled in-house craftsmen, based near Oakham in Leicestershire, create and manufacture a wide range of attractive architectural ironwork using only UK steel. We work with a diverse group of clients and our products can be found in many National Trust properties and English Heritage sites all over the UK, private homes and on new build developments, anywhere quality is of paramount importance.
Bespoke Fabrication
We work with a variety of steels including mild steel, corten steel and stainless steel and all of our traditional estate fencing, legacy lawn edging, and architectural steels can be galvanised if required. A Norfolk Country House Restoration
As part of the wider restoration of this beautiful Norfolk country estate, we worked closely with Will Draper Garden Design to deliver a range of bespoke features, including Burghley Estate Fencing, Gates, Rose Arch Walkways, a Domed Structure and, completing the project, a large bespoke Arbour. Designed to complement the surrounding landscape.
Bespoke Steel Tree Seat: Designed Around Nature
A bespoke steel tree seat, designed around nature. When an existing customer approached The Traditional Company with a unique seating request, our team worked closely with her to create a backless tree seat tailored to the tree, the space and her vision.
Bespoke Vertical Screens for County Garden Management
We collaborated with County Garden Management to manufacture bespoke vertical screens for a garden project in Essex, designed to soften a large brick wall and enhance the overall space. Fabricated in-house at our Leicestershire facility, the screens were created from detailed technical drawings and will naturally develop a rich, weathered patina within a few months, blending seamlessly into the landscape.
