What we all enjoy at The Traditional Company with regards to our jobs is that every site we visit and work on is different. Clients require separate things and have different needs. Whilst some want to contain their stock or beloved pooch inside the perimeters, other wants to keep the rabbits, deer and wildlife out and protect their beautiful gardens.
We have a number of options to help..
At the Traditional Company our most popular choice for keeping animals inside is high tensile Lamb wire. It is normally installed onto the lower parts of the fence, but it can be placed to any height that is required. This will keep dogs and other animals contained and prevent some larger animals getting in. It is a great alternative to chicken wire or net as it doesn’t detract from the look of the fence.
If the fence is required is to keep cattle and horses in, we recommend our Highland Parkland Fence. It is supplied with heavier profile posts and larger rails. You can choose between 4 or 5 rails with a rounded top rail and a choice of either flat or round lower rails. We weld a thrust plate to every post, this gives it more surface area in the ground to prevent any lateral movement. If the ground is very soft we may also concrete these for extra strength.
Our popular Traditional Deer Fence is higher than our normal estate fencing and it can vary between 1.5m and 2.25m depending on your requirements. The height of this fence will confine the deer and stop them from jumping out. Historically Deer Fencing will form the boundary to open parklands. This strong robust fence is built to last and our solid steel fences will last for well over 60 years.
A great safety and practical barrier is our Equi netting, It can be installed onto your side of the fence to stop children climbing over or it can be installed onto the outside to keep rabbits and other animals out. When this is installed, we will dig down and place the net into the ground to stop rabbits burrowing under. The netting is installed by inserting lamb wires into the fence line which allows the netting to be attached without bellowing in and out between the individual posts. When you stand back the netting is almost invisible yet keeping the rabbits out, dogs in and children from climbing and making a break for freedom.
