The team have been back at this site in Gloucestershire to install the next instalment of Highland Parkland Fencing. This is phase 6 of this large installation headed up by Dom who works in our Southern team.
The team have replaced the old timber post and rail that has rotted and become brittle with our Highland range.

We have a range of steel fencing but the Highland is our heaviest and nearly 20kg per running meter. It comes as a 5 rail fence with a round top rail and a choice of wither flat or round lower rails. It was chosen for this site as it was to contain cattle. As the Highland fence is our strongest and it is robustly built to withstand the most boisterous of livestock. The team will weld a thrust plate on every post. This plate is welded under the ground and reduces any lateral movement caused by the pressure of cattle and horses. It is also supplied with a heavier profile post (40x10mm) and larger rails (25x8mm or 20mm round rails).

For this phase the team installed 400m of parkland fencing. The ground was very hard at this private estate and very hilly. The team stayed locally and the team had to deal with the typical British weather.
It was great to be back and see the cattle who were incredibly friendly and nosey with the team. The highland fence really does stand the test of the cattle who do love a good scratch against the fence.
