The Traditional Company is a supplier to the National trust, we recently completed a commission to remove the existing estate railings and reinstate 1200 m of galvanised parkland fencing at Osterley Park in Middlesex, together with a number of estate gates and steel kissing gates. The existing fence comprised of many types of old parking fencing including some of the H style cast posts.
The main estate driveway and public carpark areas experience significant pressure from the public and horses / cattle so the strongest possible long lasting park fence was required. The National trust choose a welded galvanised steel fence (Highland Park fence) , with every post postcreted. The weld joints were then treated with a heavy zinc paint with the entire fence line being finished with two coats of a Galvacoat black paint.
