The Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovation Awards shortlist has been announced and we are incredibly excited that one of the houses we have worked at over the last year has been nominated. Working alongside Emotive Landscapes the client originally got in contact and sent us a full plan of his garden design. We were hired to install an Amphitheatre, Steel Lawn Edging, Steel Estate Fencing, Steel Handrail and Corten Planters which would establish the framework of the garden.

Work began in June 2018 and we started off by installing Estate Fencing in two different heights, so not to obstruct the view as it was close to the house. Quadrant Entrance Gates were installed to both entrances and automated to add security to the property, along with 4 other pedestrian gates surrounding the garden. A few months later we were back to create an Amphitheatre, made using Corten Steel which would be left to rust naturally. Working closely with Emotive Landscapes we began by installing supports and cemented them into the ground to form the required shape averaging out at 1 per meter. Next 170 meters of Corten Steel was welded to the supports, defining its beautiful curve and levels. Artificial grass was skilfully fixed in place on top as a low maintenance free finish.

At Lane’s Cottage we also Installed Legacy Lawn and Driveway Edging, defining the borders, creating shape and allowing a clean crisp entrance to the property. A bespoke Steel Handrail was designed and mounted to compliment the large
porcelain steps Following the design, Four Corten Steel flower beds were installed. Elegantly starting from ground level, the ground slopes away into the amazing view. The client opted to use this steel for the raised beds as it is not affected by the elements – so it does not become brittle with the cold weather or rot.

The Daily Telegraph Homebuilding & Renovating Awards aim to showcase the very best projects from around the country. Lane’s Cottage has been nominated so please vote here https://www.homebuilding.co.uk/awards/

Bespoke Vertical Screens for County Garden Management

We collaborated with County Garden Management to manufacture bespoke vertical screens for a garden project in Essex, designed to soften a large brick wall and enhance the overall space. Fabricated in-house at our Leicestershire facility, the screens were created from detailed technical drawings and will naturally develop a rich, weathered patina within a few months, blending seamlessly into the landscape.
