We were recently back revisiting a site in Bristol. Previously installing Estate Fencing and an Amphitheatre, this time we were back to install Iron Railings and a hand rail.

Working closely with the Estate Manager and the client we were tasked to install vertical Iron Railings at the back of the building surrounding a sheer 3-meter drop. Iron railings are chosen as they are safer and if were to install estate fencing it would act as a marvellous ladder. We carried out a site visit a few weeks prior to stating the job to check where we would be installing the railings and to take measurements to be sent off to the fabrication team.

Our vertical railings are made to measure and can come in different sizes, for this site we used of 2-meter panels. Once assembled together they blend seamlessly. They are primed at the fabrication workshop in Leicestershire before being sent to site. The team install the railings by drilling, using a core drilling machine through the patio into the concrete below. The hole is then filled with a chemical resin before the railings are placed. The panels are welded together, and the welds are grounded down to leave a smooth finish. Once installed the railings are painted. The client chose black, but any colour can be used like with our Estate Fencing.

We had a slight change in the design brief, once everything was fabricated and delivered to site, our talented craftsmen managed to adapt the change and created a swan neck handrail leading down the steps. It was great to see how our previous work was looking. The grass has grown on the Amphitheatre and looks stunning against the Corten steel. We are incredibly proud as a team of how this is looking. We also previously installed 140meters of Estate fencing and an entrance gate attached to stone pillars. We are looking forward to our next visit where we will be installing a hand rail.
