This week one of The Traditional Company’s installation teams completed a Lawn Edging job at the De Vere Hotel in Surrey. We have worked closely with De Vere Hotels and this is the fourth hotel from their chain that we have had the pleasure of working on. This time we were installing 240 meters of our Legacy Lawn Edging at the back of the hotel in the area known as The Towers where weddings are hosted.
We started by widening the path by a meter, as the hotel are planning more seating areas i.e. tables, chairs and benches. We only had one obstacle on site and that was where the edging met the man hole covers for the drains. The hotel did not want sharp corners, so we
curved the steel on site and rounded of the edges to the manholes for a softer finish, as you can see in the photo.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with this leading hotel chain assisting them reaching their goal of minimising the maintenance of their gardens. The lawn edging brings structure and formality to the garden and creates neat flower beds ready for planting.
Self-Installation in Paris
This week also saw an international order of Legacy lawn edging that was purchased online for self-installation. The customer order 100meters and it was packaged up and sent via Palletline to Paris. It is to be installed in the centre of Paris in public gardens. We have sent 5mm thickness steel which will enable maintenance to be low and it will retain its shape for many years to come.
We are very excited to launch ‘Buy it now’ online. Lawn Edging can be ordered in either 100mm or 150mm high and a thickness of 3mm or 5mm. Our minimum order is 20 meters and you will need to select corner pieces as required. Legacy steel edging is made from solid steel and is heavy, your edging will be supplied in 2m lengths and delivered by Palletline.
