A really interesting project this year has been the formation of an Amphitheatre within a garden in Somerset. Working closely with the award-winning Landscape and Garden Designer Bunny Guinness we installed 13 curved Corten Steel steps, straddling this large walled garden. With individual rises of 500mmand widths of up to 37m wide, with a central ‘staircase’ – exacting planning and precision were paramount. The area has now been seeded to grass and a small flock of sheep have been in, tamping down the soil on the terraces. How lovely to return this autumn and find this extraordinary new feature settling in, the corten steel has reached its lovely warm ebony colour, the Bristol Channel can be seen in the far distance and we now eagerly await the 2018 Events Calendar.
A Norfolk Country House Restoration
As part of the wider restoration of this beautiful Norfolk country estate, we worked closely with Will Draper Garden Design to deliver a range of bespoke features, including Burghley Estate Fencing, Gates, Rose Arch Walkways, a Domed Structure and, completing the project, a large bespoke Arbour. Designed to complement the surrounding landscape.
